What “Cheap” Really Means for a Jeddah Wedding Hall
People comparing cheap wedding halls in Jeddah usually put two numbers side by side: one hall at SAR 6,000, another at SAR 15,000. Those two figures often describe different things. Some venues quote a flat rental for an empty room. Others quote a price per guest that already contains the stage, the hospitality and the dinner. A fair comparison is never price against price. It is the full cost per guest once everything you will actually pay for has been added.
The 2026 market averages published by Jeddah venue directories fall into three bands: economy halls at SAR 80 to 150 per guest, mid-range and luxury halls at SAR 200 to 400, and five-star hotel ballrooms from SAR 400 to 550 and beyond. Palazzo pricing is available on request and depends on your event date and number of attendees.
Add Up the Whole Bill Before You Compare
Take this list to every venue you view and ask of each line: is it in the price or on top of it?
| Item | What to ask | At Palazzo Ballroom |
|---|---|---|
| The hall | Is the price a flat rental or per guest? | Per guest, hall included |
| Bridal stage (kosha) | Is it included, or hired from an outside supplier? | Standard bridal stage and main stage included |
| Lighting and sound | Are stage lights and speakers charged as extras? | Stage lighting included |
| Welcome hospitality | Who serves the coffee and dates, and at what cost? | Included in the package |
| Dinner | Is it in the price? | In the Royal Package; added to the Celebration Package on request |
| Second section | Is the men's hall priced separately? | One per-guest price, whichever section |
| Table styling | Who supplies linen and layout? | Included; fresh flowers quoted on request |
Once the lines are added, a hall with a low rental can turn out dearer than one with an all-in rate, because the stage, the hospitality and the lighting all came from elsewhere. The cheapest hall is the one with the lowest total, not the lowest headline.
Six Ways to Bring the Cost Down
- Pick a midweek night. Sunday to Wednesday is priced below Thursday and Friday. It is the largest saving a single decision buys you.
- Stay out of peak season. The summer holiday and the weeks after Ramadan carry the heaviest demand. Quieter months cost less.
- Trim the guest list. Ask for a revised quote if your attendee count changes; the saving depends on your date and the services agreed.
- Book one hall if one is enough. A smaller party does not need all three. See small event halls.
- Set the hospitality level deliberately. A coffee-and-dates welcome with a focused dinner menu costs less than a multi-station open buffet, and guests remember good organisation longer than the number of dishes.
- Keep the included stage. The standard bridal stage and its lighting are in the package. Custom designs and fresh flowers are what push the bill up.
What the Minimum Booking Costs
Palazzo pricing is available on request and depends on your event date and number of attendees.
| Guests | Price |
|---|---|
| 100 | Price on request |
| 150 | Price on request |
| 200 | Price on request |
| 300 | Price on request |
These are example guest counts. The price for your event is confirmed in your written quote. The full price guide, with all three packages, is on wedding hall prices in Jeddah, and the Palazzo quote request is on Palazzo Ballroom prices.
Where Not to Economise
Three economies show on the night: a room too small for the guest count, weak privacy between the men's and women's sections, and hospitality below what guests expect. A cheaper hall that cannot seat your guests comfortably, or cannot keep the two sections properly apart, is not a saving.
Palazzo retains its architectural features across its packages. The golden dome, the crystal chandeliers, the stage and the separate entrances are the same in every booking. What changes with the price is the night of the week and the level of catering. The main page for wedding halls in Jeddah describes the venue in full.
A Note for Expatriate Families
If you are planning from outside Saudi wedding custom, two things differ from a Western budget. First, most weddings here run as two parallel receptions, one for men and one for women, so ask every venue how it prices the second room. Second, hotel ballrooms usually set a high minimum spend, while an independent hall lets you size the booking to your real guest count. For a party of a hundred, that difference alone can decide the venue.
